«There might be just a few things which are really meaningful for the individual person, which are carefully selected over a lifetime.»
There are not many regions that have their own specialized drinking vessels to offer. The stein, however, is a world famous and esteemed object where Bavarian culture and way of life come together. Such objects act as traditional and regional constants. They thus produce cultural and individual value. When creating our stein, we stayed with the traditional and time-tested original stein, but gave it a modern, back-to-the-basics shape made of fine porcelain.
Frankenwald is a region known for the home of the so-called “white gold”. Since the middle of the 18th century, it is said to be one of the most important centers of porcelain production. Hard porcelain from this part of Germany is famous both for its high quality and its exceptional purity. Our Seidla comes from a Franconian porcelain manufacturer with a 100-year-old tradition. Produced with vast experience and loving attention to detail each stein is given its individual touch and structure. Following the original Keferloher our Seidla is only partly glazed. The interplay of the glazed and natural body give the stein its velvety feel and lets the character of the porcelain become noticeable to the touch.
Due to the fact that life in our digital world feels increasingly overwhelming and stressful, more and more people are in search for balance. This might be given by nature, beloved persons or things as well. We certainly feel a trend for new consciousness.
There might be just a few things which are really meaningful for the individual person, which are carefully selected over a lifetime.
It is the special deep relationship between an individual and an object that actually gives an object a soul – which is directly leading to the main philosophy of our designs and our label.
