About The resonance of raw- amber large vase
The resonance of raw is an ongoing experiment-based design research, in which the properties of braided structures are studied and transferred to other analogous processes.
Coupled with glass, a seemingly opposing raw material, the findings on the characteristics of different wickerwork led to a collection of tactile glass objects, made in woven molds that stood up to the heat of the glassmaking process. The natural abrasion of the raw material became the means of design for the pieces, whose texture allows one to understand the origin of its creation.
The first collection combines three different sizes of vases, marked as large, medium, and small. As all molds were handwoven by the designer and mouth-blown by glass-blower Maestro Peter Kuchinke they differ uniquely in height, shape, and thickness.
A selection of vases of the first series created during the design research is exclusively offered to ThroughObjects for distribution.
